Why convert an SVG at all

An SVG is a drawing, not a picture: it stays sharp at any size because the browser redraws it. That is exactly why some places will not take one — email clients, older image editors, print shops, marketplaces and most social platforms want real pixels. Converting gives you those pixels at whatever resolution you choose.

Picking a size

How to use the converter

  1. Drop the SVG file, or paste the code straight into the box — handy when you copied it out of Figma or an editor.
  2. Set the width. The height follows automatically unless you untick the proportions switch.
  3. Choose the format. PNG keeps transparency; JPG needs a background, so white is filled in for you.

What is and is not supported

Going the other way

You cannot turn a photo back into a true vector by converting it — a PNG holds pixels, not shapes. For a PDF drawing, PDF to SVG keeps the vectors; for anything else, the drawing has to be redrawn or traced in a vector editor.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert an SVG to PNG?

Drop the SVG above or paste its code, set the width you want and press download. The conversion happens in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

Will the PNG keep its transparent background?

Yes, as long as you choose PNG or WebP and leave the background set to transparent. JPG cannot store transparency, so a white background is filled in.

What size should I export at?

Pick the largest size you will actually use. Exporting a logo at 1024 px and scaling it down looks good; exporting at 64 px and scaling it up does not.
