Which format should I use?
- JPG is best for photos: small files that open everywhere. It has no transparency.
- PNG is best for logos, screenshots and graphics with sharp edges or transparent backgrounds. Files are larger.
- WebP is a modern web format: about 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same quality, with transparency. Ideal for websites.
- HEIC is what iPhones save by default. Many Windows computers, websites and forms will not accept it, so convert it to JPG.
How to use the image converter
- Drop your images or click to choose them. You can also paste an image.
- Pick the format — JPG, PNG or WebP — and the quality.
- Download each image, or all of them at once as a ZIP file.
Good to know
- Images are converted in your browser and never uploaded.
- A quality of 80–90% is hard to tell apart from 100% but makes much smaller files.
- When a transparent PNG becomes a JPG, the see-through parts are filled with the colour you pick (white by default).
- Animated GIFs become a still image of their first frame. Photo details such as location (EXIF data) are not copied to the new file.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert HEIC to JPG?
Drop your iPhone photos here, keep JPG selected and download them. The first HEIC conversion downloads a small helper, so it takes a few seconds.
Does converting reduce quality?
Converting to PNG keeps every pixel. JPG and WebP compress the image; at 90% quality the difference is very hard to see.
Can I convert many images at once?
Yes. Choose or drop as many as you like, then use “Download all” to get a ZIP file.
