Clean up a list in seconds
Lists copied from spreadsheets, exports and emails are full of repeats: the same address typed twice, the same keyword with a capital letter, a product code with a stray space. This tool keeps the first time each line appears and removes the rest, so you get a clean list without sorting through it by hand.
How to use it
- Paste your list with one item on each line.
- Choose how strict to be: ignore case so “Apple” and “apple” count as the same, ignore spaces at the ends, and remove blank lines.
- Sort if you like — A to Z, Z to A, or by length — then copy the result or download it as a text file.
Good to know
- The first spelling of each line is the one kept. If “Apple” comes before “apple”, the result shows “Apple”.
- Sorting understands numbers inside text, so “Item 2” comes before “Item 10”.
- Everything happens in your browser. Your list is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove duplicates but keep the original order?
Leave “Sort the result” on “Keep the original order”. Each line stays where it first appeared.
Can it remove duplicate email addresses?
Yes. Paste one address per line and keep “Ignore upper and lower case” on, since email addresses are not case-sensitive in practice.
Is there a limit to the size of the list?
No fixed limit. Lists of hundreds of thousands of lines work in a modern browser.
